My first official post, this is so exciting.
Maverick had his last day of Waterbabies swim class at the YMCA today and he graduated!! He's an official Waterbaby! He loves to swim and especially loves to splash. His favorite activity in the water is Humpty Dumpty. He sits on the side of the pool and we sing Humpty Dumpty. When Humpty Dumpty falls off the wall Maverick jumps into my arms off the side of the pool. I really do think he's going to be quite a little fish. At the end of the class the instructor said that the kids could go down the big water slide with her if they wanted to. I thought to myself...There's no way that Mav will want to go down that slide. But, I thought I should at least ask him. I said "Maverick, do you want to go down the slide?" He said "mmmmm, yep!" He reached out for the instructor and they started climbing up the slide. It's this big winding water slide... I couldn't believe it! Next thing I new he was sliding down with a big smile on his face!
Chad Lohman and 4 of his friends came to town today. They played golf with Bryce, Greg, Luke and Donnie at Reflection Ridge. They were going to be late for dinner, so Phyllis, Grandma Dorothy, Mav and I decided to go ahead and eat without them. (Dorothy is in town for her heart appointment on Monday.) Mav made sure to give Grandma Dorothy lots of kisses while she was here.
The boys came to our house after golf for a quick drink and a bite of sushi. Then, they headed out to the pumphouse for Kevan's gig. Kevan plays in a band named Double Crossed Hipsters and they were playing at the hottest club in town, the pump house. Dorothy went along to check out the band and ended up staying until 1:00am. What a trooper!

What I'm trying to figure out is if Grandma was getting all of those kisses as part of grandma-duty, or if Maverick is such a little ham that he just lures in all the ladies. I have a feeling it's the latter - that kid really knows how to work the camera!
PS - Give Grandma a hug for me!
Jeph, thanks for posting I'm my blog. This is pretty exciting! Will you be coming to Grandma Dorothy's birthday party in September?
