Mav's new Cowboy Hat

Just doing a little reading before school.




















So, Mav has a Cowboy birthday party for Carter and Easton this weekend. Bryce and I decided that he probably needed a Cowboy hat for the party, so we ran over to Sheplers and bought him one today. He loves it! In fact, he cries when we have to put it away.

Papa and Mamaw got back from Phoenix today. Mav has been asking for them everyday and we tell him that they went on the airplane, but they'll be back soon. Finally yesterday he cried and said "I want airpane". Papa had a meeting tonight, but Mamaw came over for dinner and a little Mav time.

Today Roadway came to pick up the last of my parents belongings.

Sweet little Emma and Uncle Tevan

We started the day by telling Maverick that we were going to Emma's party today and that Uncle Kevan and Ashley were coming over for dinner. Well, that was a mistake. All day we heard "party" "party" "Tevan" Where's Tevan" "Waaant Teevvaan"

Anyway, we got up and made pancakes for breakfast and then headed to Target for some shopping. Mav of course came home with two new toys, a package of cars and a new rocket!

We had to wake Mav up from his nap to head over to Emma's party so he wasn't in the best of moods, but he slowly warmed up to everyone. Let me tell you...Emma is adorable! She has such a sweet disposition and seems to be such a happy little girl. We were late getting to the party so we only stayed a short time but we enjoyed visiting and looking at all of their pics from China. Mav of course loved playing with Jake's choo choo trains.
















We came home and whipped up some quick appetizers and finally "Uncle Tevan" came over. Mav was so excited. We had a nice dinner with Kevan and Ashley and then called it a night.

I'm spoiled.

My husband made me a fabulous dinner tonight of Grilled Red Snapper, Rice and Beans. It was fantastic! Thanks Honey.

Uncle Tevan

We went to Uncle Tevan's house for dinner tonight and Mav got a present. It's Mater from the Cars Movie. He was so excited. Now he has Mater to tow around Lightning McQueen.

Today was a full Saturday. We had a Shocker game in the afternoon. Mav and I came home and napped after the game while Bryce went out with the Shocker crew and then it was my turn to go out in the evening. Mav cleaned the bath tub while I was getting around. Who knew that there is actually a point in your life when cleaning the bath tub is fun.






























About 6:30 Kevan and Donny picked me up for an adult night out on the town. We headed to BoneFish only to find out that we couldn't sit down to eat until 9:00. Oh well, we sat in the bar for a couple of hours and had a great time. Needless to say....after 2 hours of sitting in the bar and drinks with dinner I was singing Prince songs at the top of my lungs and dancing in the car. The only problem is that I wasn't the only person in the car!

Valentine's Day!
We all had a good V-Day. Bryce and I went to lunch at our favorite mexican restaurant. Maverick had his party complete with cookies, fruit, cheese, crackers, games and 17 Valentine's (which all included candy as well). They also brought in pizza for lunch for the kids. When Bryce picked him up from school today he just wasn't ready to come home. The kids were all in line walking down the hall to the gym for recess. He looked up at Bryce and said "I goin to recess daddy".

We had a nice relaxing dinner at home. As you'll see in the video below, Maverick was our little entertainer during dinner. I think he had way too much sugar today.



Me Ma and Papa Guinn brought us some fabulous Valentine's cookies.

A night of hearts.

Tonight we put together Valentines and filled them with M & M's for Maverick's Valentine's Day party at school tomorrow. (Get it? M & M's = Maverick Mickael)































Then we cut up the fruit for his fruit salad for the Valentine's Day party.















The fruit is soaking in Sprite overnight. I sure hope this works and I don't wake up to brown fruit in the morning.















I cut little heart shaped pieces of bread for tomorrow's breakfast. I'm thinking I'll make Valentine's Day French Toast for the boys, or maybe just cinnamon toast if I get up late!

New Snow Equipment!
So, if you live in Kansas or you've been watching the weather in Kansas, you know that we've had plenty of snow this year. For those of you who know my husband...this means we needed new snow equipment. (Actually, he's been whining for the last couple of days that since we bought new snow equipment he was sure it would never snow again!) (Really, we got a very good deal on it. Our good friend Todd sold it to Bryce for next to nothing.) Well, there's a chance that we may get snow tomorrow so he's been out in the garage getting it all ready to go tonight. He's got the snow plow on the front and the snow blower is ready to be attached if we get some serious snow.

Grandma and Grandpa came over tonight for a little sushi and an early Valentine's Day.

Another night out.

I know, I know, I'm starting to party like Britney Spears. Actually, I just went out on a date with my husband. Phyllis kept Mav for the night while we headed to Sumo for Sushi. We had a great time. Ashley talked us into trying a new Sushi called Atomic Tuna. Holy Crap was it atomic! We met up with Brent at Chester's for wine and chocolate and then headed down to Oeno's for more wine. We were supposed to head to Kirby's to listen to a friend's band, but we just couldn't make it. We headed home and slept in until 10:00 the next morning. I can't remember the last time we slept that long!

Bathroom light, fan, mirror and vanity have all been installed. (one broken globe on the light, will have to reorder.)

Girls night out!

Phyllis invited me out on a girls night out and we had a great time. We headed to Denise's 50th b-day party where danced the night away and wore our tiaras (I'll try to get some pics) and then we met up with the boys at Yia Yia's for a quick glass of wine before we were off to Mort's for Martini's. Before we knew it, it was 1:45am.

Grandma came over tonight and stayed with Mav and I got to go out with the boys tonight! We had a great time. We went to Redrock for dinner and drinks and then onto Mort's for a few drinks. I really do miss hanging out with the guys and it was great to have a relaxing night out with them. Thanks for letting me tag along guys!

Grandma and Mav had a great time. She brought him an early Valentine's gift. It was a book called Lilly's Chocolate Heart!
