Substitute Teachers
Well, Maverick got in trouble at school for the first time yesterday. Each day when we pick him up we check his little report for the day that tells us how much he ate, what activities he did today, etc. At the bottom it usually says, "Maverick was so sweet today", "Maverick had a great day today", "Maverick is so much fun", "Maverick was tired today, but he was still really good", etc ,etc. Well when I picked him up yesterday all it said was "Maverick didn't listen today". This morning I checked with his teacher and found out that they had a substitute teacher yesterday. Maverick, Miles and Madison (The 3 oldest kids in the class) wouldn't listen to the substitute teacher. She would tell them to do something and they would say "no". She would ask them to stop doing something and they would just laugh. (Now, I totally know this isn't funny, but I had to chuckle inside just a bit) It's amazing how young kids learn to act up when there is a substitute teacher! Luckily when Bryce picked him up today his report said "Maverick had a great day". Everything seems to be back to normal.
