The Pooh Explosion!
For those of you with a weak stomach you may want to skip this post. It may be more than you can handle!
We got home from the game about 2am this morning. It was a long trip home and we were all exhausted. So exhausted that Bryce and I didn't even wake up until 9am and at 10am Maverick was still asleep. We decided that we had better wake him up or he'd never go down for a nap later in the day. Bryce went into Maverick's room to wake him up and next thing I know Bryce comes back with this strange look on his face and he doesn't have Maverick with him. He says to me, "I think we might have a problem." "I can see brown stuff in Maverick's bed and it smells really bad in his room."
So, we both head back to his room. Maverick is sound a sleep, but there is this awful smell coming from his crib. We look closer and Oh My Gosh!!! There is pooh everywhere!! It's all over his sheets, his bumper, his hands....you get the point. We just look at each other and don't even know what to do but laugh. We strip poor little Maverick down and put him in the tub. I can honestly say it's the first time I've ever cleaned pooh out of someone's under arm! It was just a pooh explosion!

The Game!

The long walk down to our seats. It's a little bit harder with an extra 25 lbs on your shoulders!

The dedication of the Snyder Family Stadium.
Fireworks

Coach Snyder and his wife.

Snyder's family is in the stretched out Hummer.

Mav and dad. (Dad trying to hold back the tears.)

The new jumbotron at the south end of the stadium

The new north end of the stadium

Halftime at Ted and Sue's tailgate.

Mav did o.k. for the first half of the game. By halftime he was definitely ready to do something else. We went back to the homer, listened to the game and watched Shark Tale!

Tailgating.
Mav plays football with the big boys.

Hey, somebody throw it to me.

I know my route dad!

No Luke, you can't have my chips!

Aunt Shelly, your cookies were really good!

Did you guys know it's raining out here?

Throw Down!
This is our favorite tailgating meal and we call it "Throw Down"! We take about a 6 pack of beer, some water, cajun seasoning, potatoes, corn, carrots, spicy sausages, sweet sausages and chicken and throw it in a pot to boil for about an hour. Just before it's finished we throw in a couple heads of cabbage and the grand finale....Shrimp! When it's done we "throw it down" on a table. It's absolutely wonderful. Thank you to Phyllis for doing all of the shopping and cleaning of the vegetables! You're the queen of tailgating. The Rowland family provided the appetizers (Deer Sausage, Crackers and Cheese). For those of you who don't know, Todd makes the best deer sausage! For dessert, Shelly sent to die for cookies and Clarissa made Chocolate Floor Cake! At one point during the trip up, Clarissa's cake came flying out of the cabinet did a flip and landed on the floor. Amazingly, it wasn't damaged at all. That's some good cake!

Go Cats!!
This is the first of a few posts about this weekend's K-State Football game. This was Maverick's first trip to Manhattan in the homer and his first K-State Football game!
He was so excited to be sitting up front with all of the big boys. He was just beaming with pride!

You guys don't know what you're doing, let me show you how to back the homer into it's parking space.

When you're backing the homer you have to stand up and drive just like my dad does it.

Brock's Birthday Party!
Brock turned five yesterday and he had a clown for his birthday! Maverick was by far the youngest of the kids at the party, but he still had fun. He just loves being around the other kids.

Maverick wasn't all that impressed by the clown. He watched the clown for about 3 minutes and then he was off playing with all of Brock and Olivia's toys!

The Skid Steer...
Bryce and Maverick heard that Dallas had rented a skid steer to work on his yard so we had to go check it out.
Carter

Carter and Easton

Dad and Mav driving the skid steer. I think the big boy loved it as much as the little boy!

We stayed and played for awhile. Carter has a scooter that Mav just loved!
