Go Shox!

Tonight was the first Shocker game of the season. Mav had a great time at the game. He was clapping and cheering the whole time. Mav and Grandpa were even up on the big screen!

The poor little guy was so worn out that he didn't even open his eyes when I got him ready for bed.

So we just got home from the Shocker game and I'm tired. I had planned to get some blogging done tonight but I'm just too tired. Maybe tomorrow night I'll get caught up! Soon to come...pumpkin carving, the official Halloween post and The first Shocker game of the 2006-2007 season.

Yes, we decided that Maverick would be Dash for Halloween! He is absolutely in love with the move The Incredibles and he really kind of looks like Dash. He was a hoot on Halloween. He learned how to say Trick or Treat (twick o tweet) and Happy Halloween. ( ha ween). Bryce took him Trick or Treating around the neighborhood while I handed out candy and then we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's. Grandma made her famous Halloween dish, mashed potato doughnuts! They were so good.

Halloween 2005
It's amazing what a difference 1 year can make. Here are a few pictures from Halloween last year. Mav has grown so much in one year! Last year I hand made his costume....ummm I didn't do that this year and wow, even my hair color has changed! I promise to post pictures of this year's Halloween soon.

If you click on the picture below it should show you a slideshow of pictures. Just something new I'm trying out.

Pumpkin Carving
Mav and I were going to carve 3 pumpkins for Halloween. However, it was more of a challenge than I had expected with a 2 year old! We only carved one pumpkin, but it was super cute.

If you're interested. Here is the full slide show of our pumpkin carving experience!

Yesterday we took Mav out to the farm. Cinda and Steve kept Maverick for us last night so that we could go to Rockin The Roundhouse (We had a great time. We took two of our neighbors and it was great to have some adult time out on the town). The minute we pulled into the farm Maverick started waving his arms and squealing with delight. He was so excited. He got out of the truck and ran around and around in the yard and then he ran around and around in Cinda's house. He didn't even cry when we left. Cinda took him to the park, they ate at McDonald's and they stayed up and watched movies until 10:00pm! Maverick was in heaven. Sunday morning Steve took him in the tractor and they took the truck and checked cows! When we got back to the farm on Sunday morning Maverick was happy to see us, but he definitely wasn't ready to go home. Mav and Bryce went to check out the tractors for awhile and then they took a little ride on the 4-wheeler (a very safe ride). Mav absolutely loved it. He was giggling and say Whhhoooaa! He absolutely had a ball.

Thank you Cinda and Steve!!

New Song Halloween Party.

Mav's Halloween party was today from 10:00 - 11:00. I got there at 10:00 on the nose and they had already had their snacks! I was so bummed that I didn't get to see them eat their witches hats and their spiders. Oh well, all of the kids looked so cute. I didn't get any pics of Mav because as soon as I got there he was attached to me at the hip. He thought I was coming to pick him up and go home.

This is Carson. He was a football player.

This is Lindsay, she was a kitty kat.

This is Abby. She was a Pirate!

The bigger kids paraded through all of the rooms and then the kids Maverick's age paraded through the halls. It really was fun and I was amazed at how many parents were at the parties. There wasn't an open space in the parking lot!

A few winter pics of the Mav Man!

Gettting ready for Mav's Halloween party.

Mav's halloween party is tomorrow and we're in charge of the cookies. So, we decided to make Witches Hats and Spiders. (We know spiders don't have red legs, but the red licorice is just so much better than the black)
